Outcome of exit polls: Nitish Kumar will continue as Bihar chief minister. Biharis voted for development. NDA will get 2/3 majority while Congress may satisfy with increase in vote share. India Elections: Opinion poll results
An opinion poll conducted for the October 13 assembly polls predicts that the Congress-Nationalist Congress Party combine will emerge as the biggest alliance in Maharashtra while the ruling Congress is likely to win in Haryana with a safe margin. The survey was conducted by Star News television channel and Nielsen, with 23,122 voters in Maharashtra and 7,664 voters in Haryana. According to the survey following will be the results in two states: Maharashtra: Congress : 88 NCP : 52 Shiv Sena : 63 BJP : 55 MNS : 12 Polls will conduct for 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra. Nearly 53% of those polled said Ashok Chavan was a good chief minister. 37% feel Vilasrao Deshmukh was the best chief minister, 19% support Chavan, 18% are with Manohar Joshi while 17% support Sushil Kumar Shinde. Haryana: Congress : 65 Indian National Lok Dal : 8 Haryana Janhit Congress: 8 Bahujan Samaj Party : 5 BJP : 2 Polls will conduct for 90-member assembly in Haryana on 13th October. 73% of the respondents felt Bhupinder Singh Hooda is a good chief minister while 70% said the performance of his government has been good. IBN Poll results: Alliances will decide the winner
UPA will emerge as the biggest coalition after 2009 Loksabha elections but will fall short by 40-60 seats to get absolute majority. According to IBN opinion Poll, CPM, BSP, AIADMK, TDP, SP and TMC will decide the next PM after polls. Political alliances in Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal and Tamil Nadu will play crucial role in deciding the winner. If Congress can successfully form alliances with AIADMK and Trinamool Congress in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal, UPA will once again emerge as winner after 2009 general elections. Congress in Kerala but left in West Bengal
UDF will make massive gains in kerala but Left front will once again come out strongly from West Bengal, according to IBN nationwide opinion poll. Congress is the biggest beneficiary in kerala which failed to even open account in the 2004 Loksabha polls. Trinamool Congress is the biggest gainer in West Bengal but Left is still enjoying good lead but lost 8% of votes. Kerala: 1. UDF is much ahead in kerala with 47% of votes. 2. LDF will lose maximum number of seats with just 39% of votes. 3. Only 58% of voters are satisfied with LDF performance. 4. BJP will poll just 8% of votes. According to survey, Left front will see massive setbacks in Kerala in the 2009 Loksabha polls. West Bengal: 1. Left Front is still the winner with just 46% of votes. 2. Trinamool Congress is the biggest gainer with 27% of votes. 3. Congress can get only 15% of votes. 4. Left Front is losing popularity among poor and young voters. 5. But 69% of voters are satisfied with Government. According to IBN survey, Left front will see massive losses in Kerala and significant losses in West Bengal. BJP in Gujarat and Karnataka but Congress in Maharashtra
CNN-IBN-CDS poll has just announced opinion poll results of key states like Gujarat, Maharashtra and Karnataka. BJP is ahead in Gujarat and Karnataka while Congress-NCP alliance is much ahead in Maharashtra. BJP is banking on Modi in Gujarat while Party consolidated its position in Karnataka mainly due to weakness in the opposition. Surprise of the result is Congress-NCP strength in Maharashtra. Congress is strengthening its position among Dalits but losing hold among urban voters. BSP is expected to get just 2% votes in all the three states. IBN opinion poll results: Gujarat: 1. 47% of voters are in favour of BJP while 45% of voters are in favour of Congress party. 2. BSP will get only 2% of votes while others can get 6% of votes. 3. Congress will increase vote share among SC and STs – whose votes it lost in the last Assembly elections. 4. 72% of voters are satisfied with Narendra Modi’s performance. Karnataka: 1. BJP strengthened its position and is now expected to get 39% of votes. 2. Congress can get only 35% of votes while JD (S) will get just 15% of votes mainly in Southern Karnataka. 3. There is a huge swing among Dalit and Urban voters towards BJP. 4. But many voters are not satisfied with Yediyurappa performance. 5. Lingayats are totally in favour of BJP. Maharashtra: 1.
