BJP in Gujarat and Karnataka but Congress in Maharashtra

    CNN-IBN-CDS poll has just announced opinion poll results of key states like Gujarat, Maharashtra and Karnataka. BJP is ahead in Gujarat and Karnataka while Congress-NCP alliance is much ahead in Maharashtra. BJP is banking on Modi in Gujarat while Party consolidated its position in Karnataka mainly due to weakness in the opposition. Surprise of the result is Congress-NCP strength in Maharashtra. Congress is strengthening its position among Dalits but losing hold among urban voters. BSP is expected to get just 2% votes in all the three states.     IBN opinion poll results:       Gujarat:   1. 47% of voters are in favour of BJP while 45% of voters are in favour of Congress party.   2. BSP will get only 2% of votes while others can get 6% of votes.   3. Congress will increase vote share among SC and STs – whose votes it lost in the last Assembly elections.   4. 72% of voters are satisfied with Narendra Modi’s performance.     Karnataka:   1. BJP strengthened its position and is now expected to get 39% of votes.   2. Congress can get only 35% of votes while JD (S) will get just 15% of votes mainly in Southern Karnataka.   3. There is a huge swing among Dalit and Urban voters towards BJP.   4. But many voters are not satisfied with Yediyurappa performance.   5. Lingayats are totally in favour of BJP.     Maharashtra:     1. Congress-NCP alliance is much ahead in Maharashtra and is expected to get 50% of votes.     2.
