Banka Lok Sabha

Banka is considered as JD (U) bastion and this constituency is the fiefdom of late Digvijay Singh and Girdhari Yadav. Digvijay Singh won from Banka in 2009 as an indepedent candidate as JD (U) denied ticket. Banka is one of the poorest areas in Bihar where 60% of people are still under BPL (Below Poverty Line).
