October 6: Bihar election news update
RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav kicked off election campaigning from Kosi region while Nitish Kumar will start campaigning from Madhepura from October 8. First phase of polling will be on October 21 while counting of votes is on November 24. All the parties are fielding candidates with criminal charges without hesitation. Some hard core criminals are fielding their wives and relatives. New slogan: “Give ticket to my family member. If not, he/she will contest on opposition symbol.” This new trend is indicating the fall in values in the system. Lalu Prasad Yadav wife Rabri Devi is contesting from 2 constituencies – Raghopur and Sonepur. Initial trends: JD (U)-BJP alliance is marginally ahead but outcome will depend on how Muslims vote as they have the capacity to influence the outcome in almost 70 Assembly constituencies. They voted for Lalu from 1990-2005 but their vote bank was divided among Congress-RJD-JD (U) which resulted in the clean sweep of 2009 Lok Sabha polls by BJP-JD (U) alliance. In these elections, Congress candidates are expected to get significant votes but from where they get will also influence outcome. Lalu Prasad Yadav became hero among Muslim voters by arresting Advani in 1990 at Samastipur. That is history! … [Read more...]

BJP Vs Congress: Political war on internet
BJP and Congress now decided to fight on internet. In an unprecedented instance, Bharatiya Janata Party sent legal notice to Congress party for diverting website traffic by buying a domain name which is similar to official website of BJP. According to this, BJP lost huge traffic as internet users misleaded by BJP.com. Official website of BJP: www.bjp.org BJP complaint: Congress party diverted traffic to www.congress.org.in (Congress party official site) by buying domain www.bjp.com. Due to this, when an internet user typed bjp.com in the address bar, he will go to official website of Congress party. But, as per latest data, bjp.com is still available for sale and there is no diversion of traffic to Congress website. Comment: I don’t think Congress party resorts to such cheap tactics. It might have been done by domain owner in order to propel BJP to buy bjp.com. Only time will reveal the truth - whether this incident occurred due to BJP’s ignorance or Congress’s cheap tactics. But, this is definitely an interesting development in the Indian political history and also an interesting case in Indian domain history. It is time for political parties to use experts in this field to deal with such developments. How to proceed in such instances? 1. Send complaint notice to domain registrar with details about illegal activity of domain owner. Request the registrar to give details of domain owner. Generally, registrars do not respond. 2. Repeat the same process through an investigation agency. Registrars should respond as per law. Take action against domain owner if Law pemits. Simple solution: Buy the domain … [Read more...]
