RSS associate student organization, The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) defeated Congress party’s National Students Union of India (NSUI) in the prestigious Delhi University (DUSU) polls. In a highly publicised and keenly contested election, ABVP won 3 out of 4 panel posts.
CPI leader D.Raja’s daughter Aparajitha (AISF) who contested for President Post got just 2,999 votes.
Dehi University student Union (dudu) election results:
1. President: Jitender Chaudhary (ABVP) – He defeated NSUI candidate, Harish Choudhary by a margin of 1,943 votes.
2. Vice-president: Priya Dabas (ABVP) – She defeated NSUI candidate, A. Vardhan by a margin of 1,518 votes.
3. Secretary: Neetu Dabas (ABVP) – She decimated NSUI candidate, Deepika Derhwal by a margin of 4,495 votes.
4. Joint Secretary: Akshay Kumar (NSUI) – He defeated ABVP candidate by a margin of 581 votes.
Unfortunate thing: Only 35% of votes were polled in the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) polls.
