TMC is marching ahead in West Bengal civic polls. Trinamool Congress swept in Kolkata  and surrounding districts but Left front recovered in some areas after suffering humiliating defeats in 2009 Loksabha polls by utilising split in oposition votes. Congress party is now relegated to support cast as in Tamil Nadu and Bihar etc. TMC and Congress went alone in these polls and Mamata proved her strength among Bengal urban voters.

TMC decimated Left front in Kolkata and Salt Lake municipalities. TMC is expected to win around 100 wards in 141-ward Kolkata municipality. TMC almost swept South Bengal.

West Bengal assembly elections will be held in 2011. Mamata demands for early polls. Time is running out for Left front to recover lost ground.

Message:

Left front is still strong in Bengal. If Congress supports Left front in next assembly elections, it will be a big setback for TMC.

TMC is now emerged as main opposition to left front. If Congress supports TMC in upcoming assembly polls, they will swept Bengal. Left will be decimated.

We have to see how Congress will act now but almost lost bargaining power.
